FAQs

Q: Didn't you used to be someplace else?

A: Yes, we were previously at 4128 30th Street, which is now demolished!

Q: Do you have used records?

A: We have new and used selections.

Q: Do you have new releases?

A: Yes! It wouldn't hurt to ask if we're going to have a certain release ahead of time though.

Q: Do you buy records?

A: Yes! Normal Records is the best place in San Diego to sell your old record collection! Bring in your collection anytime during business hours. You can choose between cash payment or store credit. We can also come to you by appointment. Contact us to schedule.

Q: Do you have a certain record I'm looking for?

A: Feel free to contact us here or on Facebook, Instagram, etc. about specific records. If we don't have it, we may be able to get it so you might as well ask!

Q: Are you hiring?

A: Not in the foreseeable future.

Q: Do you have in-store shows?

A: Not really, we have people that live right above the space so we can't make a lot of noise. We are not currently booking amplified shows. We occasionally have DJ or acoustic sets, and also have a regular Vinyl Listening Meetup!

Q: Do you sell turntables?

A: Yes! We sell Audio-Technica LP60s and LP120s brand new, plus some used players we acquire from time to time.

Q: Do you fix turntables/receivers?

A: No. We usually refer people to the nearby Classic Audio Repair.
